About the role

Fond du Lac Part-Time Festival Foods is a Wisconsin grocer dedicated to community service and guest satisfaction. We operate over 40 full-service supermarkets across Wisconsin. As a Cake Decorator, you'll join a team that crafts memorable moments through exceptional service and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Decorate a variety of bakery items including bars, pies, cookies, doughnuts, cupcakes, and cakes.
  • Enhance visual appeal to boost sales and exceed guest expectations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting with bakery needs, taking special orders, and helping bring cake designs to life.
  • Stock and maintain bakery displays to keep them fresh and appealing.
  • Maintain high-quality standards by ensuring products are fresh and adhering to food safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Cake Decorator II and other bakery associates to achieve department goals and maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Keep food safety logs updated and follow all food safety guidelines.
  • Ensure regular, timely attendance and provide adequate notice for absences.
  • Support the team by completing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

To succeed as a Cake Decorator, you should possess:

  • Artistic talent with a strong sense of creativity.
  • Able to create visually appealing and unique bakery items.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure products are decorated beautifully and meet quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Standing for extended periods (80%), lifting (30%), and working near moving machinery (60%) is required.
  • Repetitive motion of hands and wrists (90%) is necessary.
