Cake Decorator

Responsibilities

• Affirms new product ideas.
• Decorates specialty cakes and assists with seasonal cake events.
• Keeps track of current inventories and ordering systems to order supplies as necessary.
• Mixes cakes, icings, and other items as required.
• Produces the correct quantities of products based on weekly sales projections.
• Records the best-selling cakes and informs management.
• Ensures the proper production of bakery goods in the absence of bakers, assistants, and management.
• Cleans the department area, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display cases, maintaining an organized workspace.
• Operates a price scale with knowledge of current prices and adjusts price tags accordingly.
• Receives, unloads, and inspects merchandise, comparing invoices to items received.
• Clears the floor of restocking equipment and debris promptly.
• Sets and signs merchandise displays to attract customers and promote sales.
• Takes and processes customer orders according to customer requests, ensuring products are ready on time.
• Takes inventory or examines merchandise regularly to identify items needing reordering or replenishment.

Requirements

• Monday through Sunday availability, 7am-4pm.
• At least 18 years old.
