Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and implementation of new product ideas.
• Decorate specialty cakes and work on seasonal cake events.
• Maintain knowledge of current inventories and ordering systems to assist with supply ordering.
• Mix cakes, icing, and other items as needed.
• Produce correct quantities of products according to weekly sales projections.
• Record best‑selling cakes and notify management.
• Ensure proper production of bakery goods in the absence of bakers, department assistants, or management.
• Clean department area, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display cases, keeping products and supplies organized.
• Operate price scale and adjust price tags in coordination with the scan department.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and crates of merchandise, checking invoices against items received.
• Promptly clear the floor of restocking equipment and debris.
• Set and sign displays of merchandise to attract customers and promote sales.
• Take and process customer orders, ensuring products are ready on time.
• Conduct regular inventory checks to identify items needing reorder or replenishment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lb and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lb.
• Open day availability, 6 am – 4 pm, with flexible weekends.
• Willingness to work in hot kitchen environments.
