Cage Wash Facilities Attendant I

About the role

In this role, you’ll be an important part of a group that ensures our research facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained—contributing to the groundbreaking work that happens every day at St. Jude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily tasks in support of the murine facilities team, including maintenance and operation of washers, equipment transport, and sanitation of support areas
• Assist with receiving, storing, and tracking supplies and equipment
• Support preventive maintenance of equipment following established guidelines
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure high-quality work, escalating issues when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned to help the team achieve departmental and institutional goals
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Some experience in industrial sanitation and/or equipment handling preferred

• Prior experience with industrial sanitation or equipment handling is preferred, but not required—we’ll provide training

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $19.00 – $30.00 per hour for the role of Cage Wash Facilities Attendant I. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
