Overview
The Cage Cashier III is the head cashier responsible for controlling and accounting of transactions for various bank windows and departments. This role involves performing high volume cash and non-cash transactions, maintaining accuracy and integrity, and ensuring a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with Gaming Commission Regulations and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform guest and internal monetary transactions.
- Balance and issue impress bank to team members.
- Enter patron transactions into the company computer system accurately.
- Prepare paperwork, balance sheets, and documents in accordance with Standards and Procedures (S&P's) and Internal Controls.
- Signed all documents legibly and in accordance with S&P's.
- Transfer cash, chips, and checks between cages and/or departments in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Strictly adhere to department policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of the Cage operation.
- Apply accurate transaction and balancing practices.
- Participate in the daily cage reconciliation process.
- Comply with Federal Title 31 procedures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to responsible gaming and alcohol service by notifying managers of concerns and observations.
- Promote positive public/team member relations at all times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of high-volume money handling or cashiering experience, preferably in the casino or banking industry.
- Strong cash handling and counting skills.
- Proficient basic math skills with ten key experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
- Able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to deliver a service level that creates a memorable guest experience.
- Knowledgeable in computer systems, both company and vendor provided, to a proficient level.
- Commitment to going above and beyond in position responsibilities to contribute to organizational goals.
