Cage Cashier - Full Time - Greensburg

About the role

The Cage Cashier is responsible for accurate cash transactions consistent with company policies, procedures and State regulations. Duties include exchanging chips for cash, slot tickets for cash, performing check cashing and counter check transactions for slot patrons, assisting customers with check cashing and front money applications, maintaining a neat and well-stocked window, processing transactions accurately, and ensuring compliance with regulatory controls.

Responsibilities

• Exchange chips for cash and slot tickets for cash.
• Perform check cashing and counter check transactions for slot patrons.
• Absorb and assist customers in completing check cashing and front money applications.
• Ensure accuracy in processing transactions and maintaining accurate reconciliations.
• Process credit applications and perform required verifications in accordance with regulations.
• Notify the Casino Credit Executive and above of any critical information on credit reports.
• Maintain a neat and well-stocked window for the next shift.
• Promote superior guest service.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience in high volume cash operations.
• Must be able to communicate well with the public.
• Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid license as required by the State Gaming Agency for the position.
• Must be physically capable of working in an environment with extended hours, moving about a large casino (over 100,000 sq. ft.), and using elevators multiple times per day.
• Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
