Cage Cashier - Cage Operations

About the role

The incumbent is responsible for the controlling and accounting of transactions for the cage or vault under the direction of the Cage Supervisor. They are also responsible for recording Title 31 transactions as required by the Casino Title 31 policy.

Responsibilities

• Control and account for transactions in the cage or vault
• Record Title 31 transactions as per the Casino Title 31 policy
• Be knowledgeable in all taxable and Title 31 regulations relevant to the Casino environment
• Handle high volume cash and non-cash transactions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Two (2) years heavy cash handling experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
• Good interpersonal skills
• Maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members
• Strong, written communication skills
• Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Operate computer software programs and 10-key adding machines
• Windows-based software proficiency preferred

Pay varies based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The casino operates 24/7, so shifts may vary. You may be required to work on any day the casino is open, including weekends and holidays.

Work Environment

• Exposure to casino related environmental factors including second hand smoke and excessive noise
• Frequent lifting/carrying of weights over 25 pounds, reaching, stooping, squatting and bending
• Constant exposure to general public
• Frequent exposure to loud noises and crowds
• May require frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing and bending
