Cage - Cage Cashier (Part-Time)

About the role

The Cage Cashier position at Valley View Casino & Hotel requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent, one year of cash handling experience, and the ability to speak and understand English. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in a casino/gaming environment and possess a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency. The position involves balancing bank drawers, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive guest relations and resolve complaints.
• Greet guests courteously and provide personalized service.
• Receive and make change for guests.
• Adhere to cash control policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in the smooth operation of the Cage Department.
• Provide information about company facilities and special events.
• Conduct all responsibilities professionally and ethically.
• Maintain a consistent attendance record.
• Follow performance standards, company policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year of cash handling experience.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must be able to pass applicable auditions or skill testing and a drug screening test.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a casino/gaming environment preferred.
• Clear vision (close, distant, peripheral, and depth perception).
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and feeling.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Exposure to second-hand tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.
• Flexible to work any and all shifts due to the casino being open 24/7.

Schedule
