Assists the Cafeteria Manager in leading the Child Nutrition Program (CNP) team at the campus level, adhering to USDA and state food and nutrition standards. Responsibilities include daily and weekly food and supply orders, monitoring food production quality, maintaining sales records, processing payments, data entry, customer service, inventory management, and collaborating with the Cafeteria Manager to support College For All.
Responsibilities
- Zero follow-up findings for the campus on internal audits of counting and claiming procedures by the last day of school.
- Direct the team to execute the approved menu 100% every day.
- Ensure every student participating in the meal program takes a reimbursable meal.
- Ensure all methods of counting and claiming are compliant; observe counting and claiming at time of service.
- Verify all counts of student meals are accurate and enter them correctly into internal trackers and PrimeroEdge.
- Achieve 85% campus retention by June 30 through recruitment, weekly employee huddles, and timely timesheet submissions.
- Use the Staff Development Cycle to provide formal, timely feedback on individual work performance and growth opportunities.
- Develop Cafeteria Assistant Managers and Food Service Specialists (FSS) with leadership potential for promotion.
- Meet budgeted participation for breakfast and lunch by the last day of school through audits, error reporting, and parent engagement.
- Conduct Breakfast in the Class audits with 100% compliance accuracy.
- Identify students bringing lunch from home, determine reasons, and report findings to the Cafeteria Manager.
- Meet the IDEA Healthy Kids Here standard by November 1 and maintain it through the last day of school.
- Promote fresh fruit and vegetable consumption through food preparation, display, and signage.
- Rotate milk to ensure freshness and decorate the serving line with appealing, informative signage.
- Maintain salad bars for College Prep students where approved.
- Achieve an average "A" rating on internal operations audits with no relevant follow-up findings by June 30.
- Follow the designated menu daily and adhere to established food service policies and procedures.
- Track changes in compliance and internal policies, correct non-compliant issues, and seek guidance from HQ CNP as needed.
- Complete food production records daily.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry required.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Valid Texas driver's license required.
- Valid Food Handler's Card preferred (willing to obtain within the first 30 days).
Skills

Pay
Hourly rate ranging from $18.34 (0 years of experience) to $22.85. Eligible for a performance bonus based on team performance and goal attainment.
