Cafeteria Aide

About the role

Damar is a not-for-profit organization providing behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disability services since 1967. The Cafeteria Aide position is available at the Damar campus on the Southwest Side of Indianapolis.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the cafeteria for serving breakfast and lunch during school and other scheduled activities.
• Prepares the cafeteria for serving afternoon snacks.
• Breaks down and cleans the serving line and tray conveyor after serving meals.
• Ensures cafeteria tables and fixtures are maintained clean and safe.
• Affords assistance in maintaining the cafeteria, kitchen, and equipment in a clean and sanitary manner that meets licensing requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior work in a high volume kitchen preferred but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record meeting eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
• Clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect, or other disqualifying criminal convictions.
• Successfully completes a pre-employment physical.
• Favorably meets and maintains Damar’s background screening.

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
