Cafe Train Attendant - Sign on Bonus!

About the Role

The Café Train Attendant reports to the General Manager and is responsible for operations including serving and assisting customers during their train trip from Brunswick, Maine to Boston and back. This is a front-of-the-house position requiring exceptional customer service skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to work independently with a focus on problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Run the point of sale system and assist customers as needed
• Set up and restock product, displays, coolers, and workstations
• Perform light food prep and manage grab-and-go items
• Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages, including alcohol
• Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas using hand trucks or carts
• Ensure customers are taken care of and the café looks clean and presentable
• Provide excellent customer service, including being attentive, approachable, and greeting/thanking customers
• Assist customers by providing information and resolving concerns
• Work with and take direction from the General Manager

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous food/customer service experience, preferably in a corporate dining setting
• Dependable with excellent customer service skills
• Ability to lift and pull up to 40 pounds and meet additional physical requirements
• Must be 21 years of age to sell alcohol in this unsupervised position
• Reliable transportation
• Schedule flexibility
• Ability to work independently and as a team player

Pay

$21.00/hr + Tips

Schedule

Part-time, 4:45 pm - 3:00 am
