About the Role

The Cafe Supervisor oversees daily operations at Opals Confectionary, ensuring exceptional guest service, smooth workflow, and adherence to service standards. This role supports and leads team members, assists with scheduling and service coordination, and helps maintain a welcoming, high-energy environment while upholding all resort policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Effectively supervises staff and maintains services levels.
• Demonstrates outstanding guest service skills and always identifies repeat guests.
• Maintains knowledge of F&B Operation’s internal functions, controls, and software updates and takes the initiative to convey pertinent information to employees regarding policy changes.
• Maintains communication with all work areas to verify paperwork and inventory controls.
• Ensures efficiency and accurate performance standards are met by maintaining communication with all work areas to verify paperwork and inventory controls.
• Consistently maintains professional rapport and confidentiality in communicating with other departments as required by procedure (i.e. IT, Gaming Commission, Security, Surveillance, Games, Nation Police, Payroll, HR and Marketing).
• Takes responsibility for ensuring that employees are trained/developed in F&B Operations and monitors business flow to develop efficient training, break and shift schedules.
• Demonstrates an understanding of administrative procedures and in doing so, accurately tracks and records LOA’s, vacation time, EO's, call-outs and special requests.
• Remains current on daily and weekly bus schedules, tracks banquet event orders that may affect business.
• Understands and maintains the highest quality of food and service levels.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Previous F&B experience required.
• Above average verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must possess computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must possess outstanding guest service skills.
• Previous money handling experience with basic math skills required.
• Ability to organize/prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment and accommodate a flexible work schedule.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 10 pounds.
