Cafe Sales Associate - Quick Service Restaurant

About the role

A Cafe Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Sales Associate delivers exceptional guest service across Eataly’s QSR counters, including gelato, pastries, coffee, paninis, and other Italian treats.

Responsibilities

• Provide service across all QSR counters
• Complete food preparation assignments neatly, accurately, and in a timely manner
• Set up stations and replenish displays, ensuring proper separation of allergens (nuts, wheat, etc.)
• Ensure all items are dated and follow First In, First Out (FIFO) standards
• Prepare collateral, weigh, label, package, and serve products
• Comply with department policies and quality, health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Operate a cash register, ensuring accuracy of cash drops and authenticity of bills
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, often including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
• Ability to operate equipment such as a manual espresso machine, drink blender, juicer, and cash register

Qualifications

• Outstanding communication and guest service skills
• Experience operating a cash register preferred
• Prior food service experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Pay

Starts at $18.70 an hour plus tips.
