Café/Deli Clerk
About the role
We are looking for part time Cafe/Deli Clerks to join our team at Hop Harvest & Vine Public House, Good Harvest Market's onsite restaurant and deli.
Responsibilities
- Learn to work all front of house operations for our onsite restaurant and deli, Hop Harvest & Vine.
- Cross train in cashiering, light bartending, juice and smoothie bar operations, barista and deli counter work.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Handle cash with accuracy.
- Make juices, smoothies, or coffee drinks at our beverage bar.
- Serve tap beers and sustainable wines by the glass in accordance with WI server/seller education.
- Expedite food after ensuring it was made to customer specifications and business expectations.
- Slice deli meats with care.
- Prep and package various store-made deli grab and go products.
Requirements
- Flexible availability.
- At least 18 years old.
- Full-time consideration requires flexible availability that can work with a mix of daytime and evening shifts (along with weekend availability).
Qualifications
- A passion for natural living.
- Ability to clearly communicate with our customers.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated to provide friendly and attentive customer service.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Ability to sweep, mop, and clean the floors.
- Constant standing, frequent bending, stooping, lifting, walking.
- Comfortable using deli slicers.
- Ability to handle working in varying temperature conditions (walk in coolers, freezers, outdoors as needed).
Skills
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to handle cash accurately.
- Knowledge of recipes for preparing juices and smoothies.
- Experience with deli slicers.

Pay
We pay weekly on Fridays.
Schedule
We operate brunch service Sunday through Tuesday with the kitchen closing at 2pm, and dinner service and events Wednesday through Saturday with the restaurant closing at 8pm. Your availability needs to be able to accommodate a mix of these hours.
