Grotto Social Baths is a wellness destination in Wynwood, Miami, offering a space for guests to connect, sweat, and plunge. The cafe is a vital part of this experience, serving as a place for guests to gather before or after sessions, and for conversation and nourishment.

Core Responsibilities

• Welcome every guest with warmth and genuine attention
• Recognize members and remember their usual orders
• Offer thoughtful recommendations based on guest needs
• Anticipate and address guest needs proactively
• Foster a relaxed, inviting atmosphere that encourages social connection and lingering
• Prepare all menu offerings to Grotto's high standards
• Maintain exceptional quality and attention to detail
• Suggest pairings and help guests discover new restorative favorites
• Ensure cafe workstations are spotless and organized
• Clean equipment, wash dishes, and restock service supplies proactively
• Monitor freshness, minimize waste, and communicate inventory needs to management
• Support opening and closing procedures to set the entire team up for success
• Maintain a team-first attitude, jumping in to help wherever support is needed
• Communicate effectively with Hosts, Guides, and Housekeeping
• Contribute fresh ideas to improve the cafe environment and the overall guest experience

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality-forward environment
• Proficiency in crafting coffee and beverages alongside light food preparation
• Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with guests in a relaxed setting
• Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and allergen awareness
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure during fast-paced service
• Physical stamina to stand for 6-8 hours and lift up to 30 pounds
• Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts
• Fluency in English required; Spanish proficiency is a strong plus for Miami
• Current Food Handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain before start)
• Familiarity with Square or similar POS systems
