The Role

The Café Concierge serves as the first point of contact for guests, offering warm hospitality, guiding them through the café’s offerings, and ensuring a seamless, inviting experience. This position blends customer service with operational support to uphold the welcoming spirit of the coffee shop.

Responsibilities

• Create, prepare, and serve coffee beverages based on recipes and record drink orders accurately.
• Receive and serve food and drink orders to guests seated at the bar, accept and process guest payments, and report cash and credit‑card gratuities in compliance with IRS reporting standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar, including the coffee station and bar tops; wash and sterilize glassware; set up and break down all bar items.
• Assist with restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies; report equipment problems and maintenance issues to the restaurant manager.
• Wipe down tables, chairs, counters, and other surfaces throughout the day.
• Maintain a friendly and engaging manner with all guests.
• Rotate and maintain product sell‑by dates.

Requirements

• Flexible schedule to work mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive energy, willingness to assist fellow staff, and ability to work as a team player.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• At least one year of prior restaurant or relevant experience.
• Effective communication skills with managers, employees, and guests.
• Ability to stand and walk constantly, with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting.
