Responsibilities

  • Prepare all fudge products and sell to customers
  • Perform Ginna’s restaurant functions, including deli line, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, fudge, and other duties as assigned
  • Follow all food safety guidelines by State and Local Ordinances
  • Ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines
  • Assist in training new associates using kitchen tools, mentor checklists, and Standard Operating Guidelines
  • Ensure cash control and till management is followed according to Scheels Cashier Guidelines
  • Manage and support side work, daily and detail cleaning schedules, opening and closing procedures
  • Maintain working knowledge of Café recipes and prepared foods
  • Maintain an orderly and clean appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas
  • Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect while following Scheels’ policies
  • Perform basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Write routine reports and correspondence
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers and employees
  • Prepare various types of food, drinks, and ingredients

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a high school education or up to one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Schedule

Must be flexible to work assigned shifts between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum availability of three weekends per month. Average hours per week are 20–25.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Medium work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10–25 pounds frequently, and negligible to 10 pounds constantly to move objects
  • Note: Food may contain or come in contact with common allergens such as dairy, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, and others

Pay

Compensation for this position ranges from $16.50/hour, depending on experience and skills.
