As a Ginna’s Cafe Associate, you will provide world-class customer service by delivering quality food and beverage products while representing Scheels as a friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable professional to all customers and fellow associates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare different types of food, drinks, and ingredients, including candy, baked goods, and fudge, for sale to customers.
• Perform all Barista, Café, and Fuzziwigs Candy Shop functions, which may include deli line, food case, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, fudge, and other duties as assigned by the Café Manager and Supervisor.
• Maintain working knowledge of Café recipes, beverages, and prepared foods.
• Meet deadlines for fudge production and customer requests.
• Follow all food safety guidelines by Scheels, State, and Local Ordinances.
• Ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines.
• Follow Scheels Cashier Guidelines as they pertain to Café registers.
• Manage and support side work, stocking, daily and detailed cleaning schedules, including machines and equipment, and opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas, including dining areas.
• Perform repetitive fudge production processes, including stirring, pulling, and cutting.
• Communicate effectively with customers and employees.
• Read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.

Requirements

• High school education, or up to one month of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Heavy work – exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Must be aware that our food may contain or come in contact with common allergens such as dairy, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, and other potential allergens.
• Associates are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform their job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.

Skills

• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.

Pay

Compensation for this position starts at $19.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. (daytime hours are also available), Monday through Friday.
• Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
• Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be available a minimum of three weekends a month.
• Average hours per week: 20.
