Cafe Assistant

About the role

Ensure the café operates efficiently and effectively and provide our customers with the very best customer service at all times.

Responsibilities

• Actively live Centra brand-values: Proud, Energetic, Imaginative and Community-Based;
• Always ensure that customer satisfaction is the number one priority by greeting each customer as if it’s their first visit to the café and consistently deliver an exceptional service;
• Adhere to all standards required including the policies, procedures, instructions and guidelines set out for the café;
• Assist customers to improve their knowledge of our food and beverages;
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store/caf policy;
• Merchandise and present the café to the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant guidelines;
• Ensure that all areas of the café/your area are kept clean and tidy to the required food safety standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the hospitality sector (café, restaurant, hotel) an advantage;
• Barista experience is desirable but not essential;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Previous customer service experience is an advantage;
• Passion for food, coffee and ability to inspire customers;
