CAE Engineer
About the role
As a CAE Engineer you will contribute to the development of CAD engineering and design tools. You will work with team members to troubleshoot software issues and develop solutions. You will support the population and maintenance of plant data associated with multiple engineering applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Support CAD Administration Lead in daily tasks.
- Plan, schedule and complete assignments independently within project schedule and budgetary requirements.
- Oversee the creation and development of 3D models and related engineering data.
- Oversee creation and revision control of drawings derived from 3D models or otherwise created.
- Oversee data management tools used to store and maintain CAD data.
- Perform associated software administration tasks, communication with software vendor and approval of license usage.
- Work with important partners to maintain interface connections between CAD management tools and other enterprise software solutions for data collection and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural Engineering
- Knowledge of CAD applications, Autodesk, AVEVA, and Hexagon-based products
- Troubleshoot software issues
- Understanding of software development techniques and processes
- Understanding of several CAD software applications
Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $69,200 to $86,500 per year.
