CAE Engineer
About the role
The CAE Engineer is responsible for the creation and documentation of modeling plans to the engineering team and the initiation of new processes and tools utilizing FEA and computer engineering programs/software. The engineer is also responsible for overall development, test and evaluating, providing support for mass production startup based on client's requirements as well as internal requirements. The engineer works with design and product development teams and reports problems or failures in an attempt to improve the product.
Responsibilities
- Create and document modeling plans for the engineering team
- Initiate new processes and tools using FEA and computer engineering programs/software
- Develop, test, and evaluate models
- Support mass production startup based on client and internal requirements
- Work with design and product development teams
- Report problems or failures to improve the product
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver products meeting customer and company requirements
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement and achievement for all employees
- Support multiple projects to achieve total customer satisfaction and meet quality standards and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 1-3 years of experience preferred
Skills Required
- Knowledge/experience of FEA software (Hypermesh, Nastran and Abaqus)
- Strong understanding of FE
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Skills Desired
- Experience in 3D and 2D drawings
- Experience in data acquisition systems
- Knowledge in metal fatigue
