CADWorx Piping Design Technician

About the Role

Utilize CADWorx software to independently develop detailed piping designs and models for industrial projects (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor). Interpret and apply piping specifications, materials, equipment interfaces, and layout fundamentals. Review and work from P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering documentation to produce accurate piping layouts and deliverables.

Collaborate and coordinate with multi-discipline engineering teams to ensure design quality and project alignment. Lead or oversee portions of project scope, ensuring model consistency, accuracy, and adherence to design standards. Provide technical input on operability, model quality, and best design practices.

Support estimating, change-management, and workshare execution as part of the project delivery process. Participate in QA/QC workflows, model health reviews, and ensure specification-driven design. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders; manage assigned tasks independently with general oversight. Maintain excellent organization and documentation for all design work and project deliverables.

(Preferred) Mentor or provide guidance to junior designers; contribute to team leadership and continuous improvement efforts.
