CADD Technician

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparation of survey plats and maps including boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys, etc. while meeting the requirements of various agencies (e.g. FDOT, USACE, NAVFAC).

Responsibilities

• Preparation of survey plats and maps including boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys, etc.
• Work assignments may vary depending on the office’s needs and will be communicated to the applicant by the office manager.
• Individual project management
• Court house research
• Processing of data collected by survey crews
• Preparation of CAD files
• Construction staking calculations
• Occasional field work

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of surveying related experience.
• (Satisfactory completion of a Survey / CAD related degree from an accredited college, vocational/technical school or military training may be substituted for two years of the required experience).
• Proficient using Carlson, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and experience using MicroStation with GeoPak and/or OpenRoads.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with GIS software
• Knowledge of ALTA/ACSM standards
• Experience with Global Positioning System (GPS) surveys
• Experience with bridge situation surveys
• Experience with hydrographic surveys
• Experience with deformation monitoring
• Experience with utility designation services

Skills

• Proficient using Carlson, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and experience using MicroStation with GeoPak and/or OpenRoads.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
