CADD Technician
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparation of survey plats and maps including boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys, etc. while meeting the requirements of various agencies (e.g. FDOT, USACE, NAVFAC).
Responsibilities
- Preparation of survey plats and maps including boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys, etc.
- Work assignments may vary depending on the office’s needs and will be communicated to the applicant by the office manager.
- Individual project management
- Court house research
- Processing of data collected by survey crews
- Preparation of CAD files
- Construction staking calculations
- Occasional field work
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of surveying related experience.
- (Satisfactory completion of a Survey / CAD related degree from an accredited college, vocational/technical school or military training may be substituted for two years of the required experience).
- Proficient using Carlson, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and experience using MicroStation with GeoPak and/or OpenRoads.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with GIS software
- Knowledge of ALTA/ACSM standards
- Experience with Global Positioning System (GPS) surveys
- Experience with bridge situation surveys
- Experience with hydrographic surveys
- Experience with deformation monitoring
- Experience with utility designation services
Skills
