About the role

HDR New England is seeking a CADD Technician to join our growing, nationally ranked Power Delivery team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to reliable, resilient and sustainable power systems, helping communities thrive and industries expand.

Responsibilities

  • Create and/or modify electric substation drawings, distribution drawings, and transmission line drawings
  • Apply standardized drawing techniques under the supervision of an Architect/Engineer or other technical professional
  • Use computer-aided design software to prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • One year or more experience working for an A/E firm or Utility company performing tasks aligned with the responsibilities
  • Local candidates preferred
  • Ace or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Knowledge of standard CAD Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts, workflows, and deliverables

Pay

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $65,000 annually.
