CAD Technician
Responsibilities
- Provide drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining AutoCAD Civil 3D engineering drawings that compile to create a set of permittable plans.
- Prepare designs from general instruction and preliminary sketches, diagrams or schematics.
- Prepare working drawings from conceptual plan, development plan, final engineering documents and construction record drawings.
- Cookordination with other engineering disciplines.
- Cookordination with other team members including engineers, managers, administrative staff and construction staff members.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience with emphasis in site/civil and land development projects.
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to create surfaces, alignments and profiles.
- Willingness to assist with a wide range of projects and work with multiple project managers.
- Strong interest in all phases of Civil Engineering including land development, data center, energy, utilities, water resources, permitting, and construction.
- High attention to detail, good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to ask for additional direction and assistance when needed.
Qualifications
Applicant must be responsible, highly motivated, and a detail-oriented individual interested in joining our Site/Civil department in our Richmond, VA office, working with engineers, project coordinators, project managers, and other professionals. This is a hybrid position combining in-person team building and flexibility with optional remote work. Applicant must be able to work in a fast paced environment, provide daily coordination with key staff, while assisting on multiple project designs.
Skills

Pay
The projected range for this position is $53,000-$68,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
