CAD OPERATOR

Responsibilities

• Produce precise 2D and 3D designs according to project leader’s specifications.
• Convert hand-drawn sketches into digital formats.
• Translate designs, make revisions, prepare documentation, and manage digital files.
• Collaborate with internal team members, engineers, and architects to discuss design concepts and incorporate feedback into drawings.
• Update models and drawings throughout construction or manufacturing to reflect changes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Keep accurate records of all drawings and manage drawing archives securely.

Requirements

• An associate’s degree in drafting, engineering technology or a related field.
• Additional courses in CAD software are required, or 5 years’ experience.
• Proficient in CAD software such as Auto Revit, with a solid understanding of drafting techniques and engineering terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings and plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical aspects clearly to team members and clients.
• Creative and critical thinking skills to support the project team during design.

Qualifications

• Experience in architectural and engineering design.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
