CAD Layout Designer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced CAD Layout Designer to update an existing landlord-provided building layout for a 100,000-square-foot industrial or warehouse facility in Texas. The primary responsibility is to modify the existing floor plan by incorporating internal walls, pallet rack layouts, and other required space-planning elements, and develop a 3D CAD layout of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Modify existing architectural floor plans to incorporate internal walls, pallet rack layouts, and other space-planning elements
• Develop a 3D CAD layout of the 100,000-square-foot industrial/warehouse facility
• Work with existing architectural drawings and modify them according to project requirements
• Apply warehouse space planning principles, including pallet racking systems and aisle layouts
• Ensure compliance with warehouse safety clearances and material-handling requirements
• Meet project timelines with strong attention to detail

Requirements

• Strong experience with AutoCAD and 2D floor plan drafting
• Hands-on experience creating 3D CAD layouts for warehouses, industrial buildings, or distribution centers
• Knowledge of warehouse space planning, pallet racking systems, and aisle layouts
• Experience with warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution facility layouts
• Familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD 3D, or similar 3D design tools
• Understanding of warehouse safety clearances and material-handling requirements
• Experience working on large commercial or industrial facilities
