What We're Researching
We're hiring skilled CAD engineers to develop realistic parametric models and corresponding engineering modification tasks. This paid study focuses on evaluating how engineering designs are structured and modified within open-source environments. Your work will directly support our internal testing and development of mechanical design workflows.
How It Works
- Review technical briefs detailing specific engineering constraints and modification scenarios.
- Construct detailed parametric models that meet those technical requirements.
- Document the required engineering modification tasks.
- All final submissions must be delivered as native, editable FreeCAD files.
Who This Is For
We welcome mechanical engineers, product designers, and CAD specialists with professional modeling experience. While a background in major platforms like SolidWorks, NX, or Fusion 360 is expected, you must be comfortable delivering final files via FreeCAD. Candidates should have a strong grasp of parametric design principles and standard mechanical engineering practices.
What You'll Do
- Review technical briefs for parametric modeling assignments.
- Design realistic mechanical models from scratch using proper constraints.
- Formulate specific engineering modification tasks based on your models.
- Export and submit all deliverables in the native FreeCAD file format.
