About the role
Woolpert is hiring a CAD Engineering Technician to join our dynamic Site Civil Team. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position; applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.
Responsibilities
- Design and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and Woolpert standards.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs.
- Work with project management teams to identify impediments and develop/implement solutions to overcome obstacles.
- Perform site due diligence assessments and compile data and reports.
- Perform roadway pavement evaluations and compile reports.
- Perform occasional field work, frequent local travel, and overnight travel, as needed.
Requirements
- Associates degree or technical certification from a technical school or four (4) years related experience.
- Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Strong interest and working knowledge in hydrology and stormwater management.
- Proven ability to multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow, and complete tasks.
- Mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.
- Above average verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions) and apply to practical situations.

Pay
Base pay range: $51,100 - $63,900 USD, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
