CAD Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior FreeCAD Mechanical Engineer to work on a contract basis. The role involves designing and optimizing mechanical components and assemblies using FreeCAD, ensuring manufacturability and adherence to engineering standards. Candidates will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions for complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify 3D mechanical models and assemblies in FreeCAD for engineering projects.
• Perform detailed design reviews to identify and resolve potential issues in mechanical components.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
• Optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to validate designs and incorporate feedback.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in FreeCAD for parametric modeling and assembly design is required.
• Experience with mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes is required.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail are required.
• Experience with CAD collaboration tools and version control systems is preferred.
