About the Role

The CAD Drafter position involves creating design specifications for HVAC projects and performing other tasks as assigned. Key responsibilities include taking input from the estimating team to design mechanical drawings showing ductwork and equipment placement on new buildings for proposed jobs, and assisting in obtaining permits.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed design drawings for HVAC projects based on input from the estimating team
• Design mechanical drawings showing ductwork and equipment placement for new buildings
• Aid in the procurement of necessary permits

Qualifications

• Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma, GED, or completion from a trade program or technical school
• 3+ years of experience as a construction drafter, refrigeration, HVAC, or a related industry/trade
• Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to adhere to safe work practices and rules
• Ability to use basic power and hand tools including drills, fuel gas tools, electrical meters, measurement tools, etc.
• Ability to be punctual and dependable, work in various conditions, and perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly and concisely, work constructively in a team environment, and follow instructions from senior technicians
• Understanding and adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal laws
• Good driving record

$35.00 - $45.00/hour
