Cad Drafter/Designer

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer to support the design and documentation of physical security systems for commercial and enterprise clients.

About the role

This role is responsible for producing accurate, code-compliant drawings and layouts that support access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate collaborates effectively with sales, engineering, and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate, code-compliant CAD drawings and layouts for physical security systems (access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related low-voltage systems).

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical or similar experience preferred).
• 2+ years of experience creating CAD drawings for low-voltage or security systems.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and floor plan interpretation.
• Working knowledge of physical security systems and components.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Skills

• Design, CAD, Bluebeam, schematics, drawings, 2D, proposals, wiring diagrams, AutoCAD, Electrical, Low voltage, Cabling.
• Hands-on experience with physical security, low-voltage, or systems integration industry.
• Familiarity with access control, VMS platforms, and device manufacturers.
• Knowledge of basic electrical principles and structured cabling standards.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Visio, or BIM coordination.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in CAD, drafting, or a related field.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
