Essential Functions
- Utilize CAD software to produce detailed and accurate factory drawings from design specifications.
- Ensure drawings comply with company drafting standards, industry codes, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain document control, versioning, and archive systems for all CAD files.
- Create new drawings and update existing drawings with client and internal changes.
- Adapt, learn, and grow with the department as drawing standards are updated.
Essential Skills
- Ability to self-manage priorities and timelines
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Ability to work independently
- Previous experience working with furniture manufacturing (a plus)
- Proven experience as a CAD Operator or equivalent role in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc) and a strong understanding of 2D drafting and 3D modeling
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in workmanship
- Effective communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally with team members
