CAD Drafter

About the role

The CAD drafter supports Project Managers by preparing layouts, detailed drawings, sketches, and diagrams, ensuring all necessary views and dimensions are included for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Makes copies of drawings and updates information in the database regarding changes.
• Manages decisions, referring complex issues to the CAD Team Lead or Casework Manager.

Requirements

• A solid understanding of drafting techniques and engineering terminology.
• Familiarity with various drawing programs.
• Associate’s Degree in a technical field or extensive CAD experience preferred.
• Previous drafting experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical reports and materials.
• Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and converting units of measure.
• Problem-solving skills, especially in dynamic environments.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
• Willingness to learn new CAD software as needed.
