CAD Drafter
Prepare electro-mechanical technical drawings and documentation. Develop detailed design specifications for products and structures and specify dimensions, materials, and procedures. Lead multiple tasks and oversee day-to-day activities of other drafting team members. Communicate and collaborate with internal, external, technical, and non-technical stakeholders at all levels to ensure the quality and accuracy of drawings, models, and other written deliverables.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with mechanical 3D modeling and 2D computer-aided drafting (CAD) in a professional environment
- Knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing for 2D drawing development in accordance with ASME Y14
- Knowledge of 3D modeling techniques and best practices
- Ability to support SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD
- Ability to develop detailed technical documentation, including 2D technical drawings, detailed bills of material, and associated written technical documentation
- Ability to collaborate with an integrated product team, including a variety of technical and non-technical teammates
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hardware design, development, model-based definition, prototyping, and integration of electromechanical prototype or military systems
- Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA)
- Experience leading a drafting and design team
- Experience with 3D modeling programs such as CREO, Solid Edge, and Inventor
- Experience performing peer reviews or drawing checking, configuration management, or SOLIDWORKS PDM
- Knowledge of fabrication, assembly, and modern manufacturing technologies, including additive manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing, and subtractive manufacturing techniques such as CNC
- Knowledge of ASME Y14 standards
- Secret clearance
- SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, or ASME GD&T Certification

Pay
Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,300.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD).

Work models include:
- Remote: Generally remote, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as required by the role.
