CAD Designer Lead – Off-Road Product Development

About the role

We are seeking a CAD Designer Lead to join our team in Chandler, Arizona. This role focuses on creating, refining, and improving products designed for the off-road community. The ideal candidate will have strong SolidWorks skills, experience designing automotive or aerospace products, and a creative mindset paired with the ability to translate ideas into manufacturable assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD models in SolidWorks daily, from templates, physical parts, or your own designs.
• Build complex 3D sheet metal and tubular assemblies ready for manufacturing.
• Process 3D scans and create scanned mesh models of vehicle data to drive new product development.
• Partner with the prototype engineering team to move new products into automation and production.
• Take open instructions on part and assembly revisions and run with them.

Requirements

• Strong SolidWorks skills, including managing complex assemblies and creating sheet metal and tubular parts.
• 3 years of experience designing similar automotive or aerospace products.
• Experience with tooling and fixtures, and the ability to bring 3D models into physical reality.
• Knowledge of machine work and processes for final parts.
• Collaborative skills and the ability to produce accurate, measured drawings.
• A self-motivated and assertive personality, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• A team-first attitude, putting the success of the team above personal interests.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
