Duties, Tasks, And Responsibilities Software / CAD (40%) Produce plumbing and mechanical designs based on client and company specifications using CAD software Produce dimensioned plans for single family projects to be used by field teams for construction. Project Design (30%) Comprehensively create material lists of all necessary materials for each designIdentify plumbing needs for different fixtures being used in the design and accurately placing drains for these fixtures.Consistently place fixture drain and water line points in locations per RTM Standard practices.Accurately place HVAC diffusers and equipment Information Gathering (15%) Carefully review and understand builder documents associated with each project and correctly interpret builder options to accurately complete designs.Understand plumbing and HVAC code requirements to ensure designs are code compliant Communication (15%) Clearly communicate with other trades, architects, general contractors, field engineers, project managers, field staff, and relevant internal departments such as estimating, to ensure applicable information is captured and all individuals are kept abreast of project progressCorrectly use project management software to coordinate with internal team POSITION COMPETENCIES Task-Focused Communicator – Communication with others is dedicated to work knowledge and providing or gathering specific information to othersAccurate – Performs all duties with precision and skilled expertise to ensure high qualityTask Oriented – Confidently completes all tasks successively, correctly, and following known prioritiesConsistent – Patiently takes the time to do work steadily and with high accuracyDetailed Expert – Skillfully works within well-defined parameters with repeatable, successful results Critical Skills & Knowledge Clear, effective communications skills – both written and verbalGood ability to collaborate and incorporate multiple perspectives into work productAptitude for prioritizing and problem-solvingPreference for accuracy, attention to detail, and organizationMastery of entire Microsoft Suite plus Internet and emailExperienced in AutoCAD or other related softwareAbility to utilize Autodesk Design Review and Bluebeam softwareA high school diploma or GED is required, Associate or Bachelor degree preferred2 years CAD design software experienceBasic construction knowledge required WORKING CONDITIONS Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office settingModerately noisy environment with light traffic, office equipment, and guest entranceSedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative natureMust be capable of lifting up to 10 poundsNo overnight travel required; some local travel required This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only activities to be performed by the associate occupying this position.
