Cable Technician II

About the role

This is a Contract position based out of Huntsville, AL. Will work 100% onsite in Huntsville, AL. Must reside in the local area to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Network equipment experience
• Fiber knowledge
• Fiber troubleshooting
• Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices
• Will build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware)
• Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required
• Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels)
• Looking for individuals that can work inside and outside building out the data centers
• Pulls wire and/or oversees and directs conduit installations and wire pulling
• Operates tools/equipment, normally requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)

Pay

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
