Cable Technician

About the role

Level 1 technician (helper) position requiring little prior telecom experience but a strong trainable attitude. The hiring manager seeks candidates with a background in physically demanding work, solid work ethic, dependability, and excellent attendance. Work will be performed at a data center, involving 10‑hour days outdoors in heat and cold. This is a contract‑to‑hire role based in Moncks Corner, SC, fully onsite, with long‑term contract potential and the possibility of converting to a direct FTE with Vision Technology when headcount becomes available.

Responsibilities

• Pull and route cabling throughout the data center
• Assemble, stack, and drill racks
• Scan, label and port equipment
• Support general installation tasks as directed by experienced technicians

Requirements

• Experience working in physically demanding environments (construction, trades, military, or similar)
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliable attendance history
• Hands‑on electrical or military experience is highly valued
• Must be able to work on ladders and lifts

Pay

The position pays $20.00 per hour. Compensation within this range depends on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other job‑related factors. There is potential for increase if the individual moves into a leadership position, but this is not guaranteed under the contract until conversion to FTE.

Schedule

Must be able to work 10‑hour days outdoors in both heat and cold as part of a physically demanding role.
