Responsibilities
- Pull, route, secure, and label Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling.
- Install cable trays, J-hooks, conduits, ladder racks, and other support structures.
- Terminate copper and fiber optic cabling according to industry standards.
- Test and troubleshoot cabling using certification and testing equipment.
- Install patch panels, faceplates, network racks, cabinets, and related infrastructure.
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, diagrams, and project drawings.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, testing results, and work performed.
- Dress and organize cable pathways to maintain clean and professional installations.
- Follow OSHA and job-site safety requirements at all times.
- Work independently and alongside project teams to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in structured cabling, telecommunications, or low-voltage installations.
- Experience with Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
- Knowledge of cable termination and testing procedures.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and cable testing equipment.
- Ability to read construction drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, lifts, and in construction environments.
