Cabinetmaker

BASIC FUNCTIONS

• Manufactures product according to drawings and specifications.
• Completes complex tasks in a given time period, adjusting for changing priorities.
• Displays a sense of urgency toward completing assigned tasks.
• Assures that the work area and aisles around them are kept clean and free of debris.
• Assures that parts or sub-assemblies and finished product are labeled correctly.
• Follows procedures in company handbook and other documents.
• Maintains professional image to customer and other employees.
• Demonstrates a professional attitude when approaching work assignments.
• Affords assistance in developing timely solutions to problems.
• Maintains a safe working environment, making sure people around you will not get in a situation to be injured.
• Assures the quality of product produced is acceptable.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Is able to read and interpret complex drawings.
• Experienced at effectively machining and building a fixture, hang doors, fit drawers, apply hardware and light electrical (finishing experience a plus).
• Has extensive knowledge of materials and woodworking processes.
• Can effectively troubleshoot problematic issues to keep projects on track.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work to high quality level.
• Is detail oriented.
• Must know machine set-ups for a wide variety of woodworking equipment.
• Is able to read and interpret specifications.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 Years Cabinetmaking Experience
• Store Fixture Experience a plus
• High school diploma required.
• Approved cabinetmaking apprenticeship, graduate experience, or six years related industrial experience necessary.
• Must have your own hand tools to perform your tasks.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY

• Can effectively troubleshoot problematic issues to keep projects on track.
• Basic computer skills

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma required.
• Has 7 to 10 years experience in store fixture manufacturing or has completed Paragon Store Fixtures Apprenticeship course.
