Purpose and Impact
Make, alter and repair high-grade wooden items such as cabinets and furniture from blueprints, sketches or oral instructions.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Build, repair and install laminate/solid counters, shelves, furniture, room dividers, bulletin boards, cabinet benches, partitions and door trim.
- Set up and operate woodworking machines and related tools.
- Refinish repaired items or finish new items.
- Perform miscellaneous functions including all work associated with interior construction in an industrial environment.
- Prepare time and material job estimates as needed.
- Perform other related job duties as required.
Work Environment and Demands
- Must be able to read blueprints and perform material take off from prints.
- Must have ability to utilize and maintain all hand and power tools and machines related to the trade.
- Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
- A willingness to work a rotating shift if necessary, including days, evenings, nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
Requirements
- Five years varied cabinetmaking experience or related trade experience.
- Must be willing to direct Carpenter Grade I, Carpenter Grade II, Helpers, and repair personnel, as assigned.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- This position is designated as safety sensitive; employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug screening, including pre-hire screening for marijuana and other federally controlled substances.
Preferred Qualifications
- CNC Router familiarity.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

$44.08 per hour
