Responsibilities
- Disassemble and reassemble aircraft cabinetry
- Fabricate high quality cabinetry, divans, ledges, etc. and other wood-surfaced subassemblies
- Read and execute shop drawings and blueprints
- Strip laminate or veneer coverings from existing cabinets without damaging substrates
- Cut, fit and trim laminate or veneer coverings as required
- Repair damaged cabinetry as directed
- Repair damaged interior panels as directed
- Keeps work area clean and safe
Requirements
- Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor
- Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Excellent workmanship aptitude and a desire to initiate improvements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in aircraft cabinetry fabrication and repair
- Knowledge of aircraft cabinetry design and construction
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
