Cabinet Technician

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble aircraft cabinetry
• Fabricate high quality cabinetry, divans, ledges, etc. and other wood-surfaced subassemblies
• Read and execute shop drawings and blueprints
• Strip laminate or veneer coverings from existing cabinets without damaging substrates
• Cut, fit and trim laminate or veneer coverings as required
• Repair damaged cabinetry as directed
• Repair damaged interior panels as directed
• Keeps work area clean and safe

Requirements

• Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor
• Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Excellent workmanship aptitude and a desire to initiate improvements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in aircraft cabinetry fabrication and repair
• Knowledge of aircraft cabinetry design and construction
• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints

• Base hourly range: $25.00 to $45.00 per hour
