Cabinet maker

About the role

We are seeking a cabinet maker with some woodworking experience; prior professional cabinet-making experience is preferred. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and eager to advance their career while learning new skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with the shop foreman to ensure all necessary tools, equipment, materials, and labor are available to keep jobs running smoothly.
• Inventory materials upon receipt at the shop.
• Maintain shop safety as a priority: clean up cutoffs, dispose of garbage, store stock properly, and secure the shop at the end of the day.
• Adhere to 100% safety standards at all times; safety glasses are mandatory in the shop.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience as a cabinet maker/woodworker (3–5 years considered for mid-level roles).
• Proficient use of all tools and equipment, including router, chop saw, table saw, and hand tools.
• Able to read shop drawings for cutting materials, sanding, assembling cabinets, and accessories.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks in the assigned order.
• Basic plan reading skills: identify measurements, layout, use a scale, and understand the basic scope of work.
• Able to communicate with clients as needed (via phone, paper, or verbally).
• Basic knowledge of other trades.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English (Spanish is an asset).
• Clean DMV record and a valid driver’s license.
• Must provide your own hand tools and tool bags (per attached list).
• Able to deliver cabinets to job sites.
