Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Measures and cuts the bases, pedestals, housing, shelves, doors, drawers and tops.
- Measures the wall spaces between appliances or fixtures, then measures and cuts all wood for cabinet parts.
- Assembles the parts and affix them to the walls.
- Hangs cabinets, shelves, builds pedestals and shells, lays tops and affixes door hinges, drawer slides and handles.
- Finishes the wood uniformly and smoothly.
- Cleans up the sawdust, discarded wood and product packaging.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience as helper
- Experience in all phases of cabinet and millwork installation
- Possess the ability to read technical drawings, specifications, blueprints
- Willingness to travel as required
- Reliable transportation and tools
- Valid Driver’s License, and clear driving record
