CA - SHOP TECH '25 ( MECHANIC and / or FABRICATION )

Job Overview

The SHOP TECH will report to the SHOP Manager. Performs vehicle inspections, keeps work area clean, coordinates with the “Torch” and/or Shop Manager, and performs various maintenance and repair tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform a daily inventory of maintenance or repair tagged vehicles to prioritize workflow
• Keep work bay and associated shop areas clean and free of clutter
• Absorb and assist with loading and unloading OHVs for triage or dispatch to the field
• Perform needed vehicle or equipment repairs on a timely basis
• Create parts orders when repairs or maintenance require purchasing parts or tools

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain cooperative working relationships
• Read and follow directions, basic math competency, and research diagnostic techniques
• Communicate clearly over the phone, online, and in-person
• Sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and reach
• Use a cell phone to make reports, take pictures, and perform inspections
• Drive safely without DUIs
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• Have a basic set of hand tools
