About the Role
The Center at Arrowhead is a state-of-the-art 96-bed Skilled Nursing Facility under Veritas Management Group, dedicated to helping patients recover from illness or injury to reach their highest level of independence. We strive for excellence for both patients and employees.
Responsibilities
- Record all entries in an informative and descriptive manner, using only authorized abbreviations.
- Report all changes in patients to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse as soon as practical.
- Report all accidents and incidents observed during the shift immediately.
- Ensure the patient’s room is ready for admission (e.g., bed made, name tags up, admission kit available).
- Greet patients and escort them to their room.
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Follow work assignments and schedules to complete tasks efficiently.
- Cooperate with inter-departmental personnel to maintain adequate nursing services.
- Create and maintain a warm, calm, and positive environment for residents.
- Meet regularly with nursing personnel to identify and correct problem areas or improve services.
- Report all resident complaints and grievances.
- Notify the facility when late or absent from work.
- Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, or hazardous chemicals to your supervisor.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to speak and write English in an understandable manner.
- Must function independently, with flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Occasional pushing of carts and wheelchairs.
