About the role

The opportunity is for a Manager Full Stack Software Engineer at EY. You will independently develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions across the technology stack. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, secure, and production-ready applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions to complex problems, recommending changes to policies and establishing procedures that impact your work area.
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Provide direction and feedback to team members, ensuring successful task completion.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
  • No less than 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in professional software engineering.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language, such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Experience with full stack development and one or more backend frameworks or technology ecosystems.
  • Working knowledge of modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or equivalent.
  • Strong database skills across relational and non-relational data stores, including query optimization.
  • Experience using Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows.
  • Comfort working in local and cloud environments, including command-line tooling and system configuration.
  • Independent identification, debugging, and resolving issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel based on client needs.
  • Proficient in application development tools.
  • Knowledgeable in the system development lifecycle.
  • Skilful in technology business requirements definition.
  • Skilful in technology business requirements analysis.
  • Skilful in technology business requirements mapping.

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience designing or integrating intelligent application capabilities, including large language models, embeddings, or retrieval-based approaches.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows, agent-based patterns, or orchestration approaches.
  • Understanding of security, identity, and access management in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and production observability.
  • Experience supporting applications post-launch in enterprise or regulated environments.

EY offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Individual salaries within the stated ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

Pay

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $142,600 to $261,500. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $171,200 to $297,200.

Schedule

Our expectation is for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You'll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
