Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain application software for Embedded Linux platforms—building solutions that power mission-critical systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Go, Rust, or C++, with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams (hardware, systems, QA) to define architecture and bring new features to life—turning bold ideas into production-ready software.
- Debug, optimize, and enhance software performance and reliability, ensuring seamless operation across diverse embedded environments.
- Participate actively in code reviews and help evolve engineering standards and best practices across the team.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to engineers, product leaders, and stakeholders—bridging gaps between design and deployment.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years (Engineer) or 7–8 years (Senior Engineer) of hands-on embedded software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in Go, Rust, or C++—with a passion for writing elegant, maintainable code.
- Candidates with a primary background in C must also have solid C++ experience.
- Proven experience working with Embedded Linux in application-layer contexts.
- Experience designing and implementing application-layer software for resource-constrained embedded systems.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and systems-thinking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills—essential for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Yocto or other embedded Linux build systems (e.g., Buildroot, OpenWrt).
- Experience architecting or contributing to complex embedded software systems at scale.
- Prior experience at high-performing engineering organizations such as Google, Apple, Meta, Rivian, or similar—where engineering excellence meets product impact.
- Domain knowledge in energy or aerospace industries—especially relevant for roles focused on sustainability or mission-critical applications.
