About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance C++ software components that support our options market making strategy. This is an experienced hire opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex C++ software systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders, risk managers, and other engineers
- Implement new features and optimize existing code to improve performance and scalability
- Contribute to the design and implementation of robust error handling mechanisms
- Participate in code reviews and mentoring junior developers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience
- Proven experience with C++ programming and modern C++ features (e.g., RAII, smart pointers)
- Experience with object-oriented design patterns and design principles
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with version control systems (Git preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Experience with C++17 or later
- Knowledge of C++11 and above
- Experience with STL and standard library containers
- Experience with concurrency and parallelism in C++ (e.g., threads, std::async)
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Google Test or Catch2
Skills
- Proficiency in C++17 or later
- Experience with modern C++ features (e.g., RAII, smart pointers)
- Understanding of object-oriented design patterns and principles
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with version control systems (Git preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
